I don't know about y'all, but Sunday has to be my favorite day of the week! It's a day to worship our Lord, reflect on our past week, and plan what the next week is going to be like. I love this day!! I usually try and do something a little different every Sunday because all of the other days of the week are usually pretty crazy booked with things like work and school (which are benefitting you but doesn't really feel like it is at the moment). So! For the upcoming Sundays I think I would like to start a Sunday Funday (I know... so original) post about a fun thing I did that Sunday, along with some other ideas we can all try together, as well as a Bible verse I am going to reflect on for the week, a workout I found that I will try, and a recipe. :) Since this is my first Sunday doing this I wanted to explain it! Alright here ya go:
So, today I went to uptown Dallas to have a girls day with my friend Sarah! She is awesome! We went to brunch at this really cool urban style restaurant called So & So's (http://soandsosdallas.com). They were hosting the oh so talented artist Lucy Hale!! After eating and watching her perform we went and did a little window shopping at some places where you can only dream of making a purchase like Christian Louboutin and Dior. I actually tried on a pair of shoes! Hey... it is very entertaining even when you know you probably won't ever reaaaalllly own them. That one little moment of having them touch my ever wishful toes is satisfying enough! It was a fantastic afternoon jus talking and enjoying the perfect weather! And now I can say I've worn a pair of $6&% of shoes that I am still overwhelmed by! I then went to church and had a lovely evening Facetiming my best friend while watching Once Upon a Time!
Next weekend Faith (my sister), Momma, and Nene (grandma) are coming into town!! I'm so excited!! Since this it the first time Nene will be seeing my place and in Fort Worth for a while I want to make sure it's special. I dont want to ruin the surprise for them, but maybe we might spend a little time exploring down town Fort Worth and see some places neither one of us has seen before! So that's my suggestion to you! Google your city/town's (or place around you) "Must See's" and see if you have done them all! You probably haven't so I suggest you try one of them out on a Sunday!
I have been a little overwhelmed with some things that have been happening in my life. In such a great way! But feeling overwhelmed is still feeling overwhelmed. Because of this, I start to get a little distracted with everything besides God, which should be who I believe I shold turn my focus too when all of that starts to happen! I have some exciting stuff coming up in the next couple of weeks including this huge interview for a position I want at school SO bad!! So the Bible verse I am going to reflect on this week is one that will really help me to take a chill pill and let go and let God take care of it all! Philippians 4:6-7 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Okay, I am so sorry I'm going on and on tonight! I promise I will learn to cut these down a bit! Alright WORKOUT! This one I found from Pinterest. (http://30dafitnesschallenges.com) I have some upcoming photoshoots that are kinda important so I am going to use these next two weeks and really crack down! Y'all (boys and girls) should try this with me! Wake up 10 minutes earlier every/every other morning and start your day off with this. That way, just in case you don't get to workout later on in the day you have done a little something: ~80 Jumping Jacks~20 Push Ups~40 Sit Ups~50 Squats (alternate the kinds if you want)~ 20 Lunges (per leg)~ 60 seconds wall sit! Write this down and keep it by your bed. You don't even need to change out of your PJs!
Lastly, recipe! I found this from http://www.hungryhappens.com. OMG AMAZING! They're called Lava Bar Brownies! This woman is awesome! She has sooo many delicious healthy recipes. Make these babies, and for the next day warm them up and just... yea they're wonderful and a HEALTHY version of brownies! You. Are. Welcome. http://www.hungryhappens.com/recipes/dessert/lava-bar-brownies.html
I hope you enjoyed this, and you try some of these challenges with me! Y'all will be in my thoughts and prayers! Have a lovely week my friends!! Talk to ya soon!!
