Good morning my dear friends!
I hope your week has been going great! I've definitely been staying very busy here! It's been a little tough for me to stay on track. I don't know if y'all are the same way, but once I get int my groove of being busy I am very productive, but the moment I slow down and take a break I get like nothing done! However, the motivation and sweet comments from all of y'all are my motivation to staying on top of this. Forgive me for not sticking to a schedule, but I hope y'all enjoy the spontaniety of my posts! haha
So I've really been back and forth with my eating and exercise habits here lately. Some days I'm doin' great and feeling proud of myself and others not so great. Last night, after having a delightful dinner of cilantro lime salmon, I may have rewarded myself with a little toooo much dessert. Granted it was a healthier edible cookie dough, it was just A LOT of it. (PS that is my biggest weakness) and after feeling like it was impossible for me to get off the couch I realized this was a perfect post idea! We all have gone through the "whoa baby I may need to secretly unbutton my jeans in fear of the button popping off" feeling after an awesome dinner. But once the "I don't even feel bad for it because it was delicious" comment we make to make ourselves feel better there is a slight feeling of guilt. Well at least for me it is. So now what do we do? Go for a workout? Psh yea not gonna happen. Go to sleep? Yea, probably. Well next time maybe try a few of these tricks I've found helpful for myself.
I'll talk to y'all soon!! Smile and go have a lovely day!!!
xoxo

- Drink lots of cold water. To make it a little extra special, squeeze some lemon in it. Citrus is a great detox tool!
- Make you a nice cup of hot tea. If it's late at night, I would stay away from the caffinated kind. I have one called berry detox and its really tasty and defintely aids with the whole bloating feeling.
- Take a shower. I hope you would do this anyways, but the heat and steam really take away the bloating feeling and also give your body time to process what you've eaten without the chance of you falling asleep on the couch.
- First thing! Drink another big glass of water with lemon. This is a good idea to do all the time, but first thing in the morning is like a secret weapon for your metabolism!
- Now you might feel like you are still full from last night, but definitely try to eat a very well balanced breakfast with protein and fiber to help keep your metabolism rolling and body to continue processing all of the deliciousness from that night. My two favorite are a green protein smoothie (nonfat greek yogurt, kale or spinach and your fav fruit!) and veggie egg scramble!
- Do a small morning workout. You can do this before or after breakfast. I recommend before, but that totally depends on your preference! Even if this is not your workout for the day a few squats, push ups, and jumping jacks for like 10 minutes would be a great warm up to your day!
I'll talk to y'all soon!! Smile and go have a lovely day!!!
