| From now on, each blog post will have a song mentioned in it. This song may not have anything to do with the post, or it might be something that inspired it. The song mentioned though, is one that I listened to while I’m writing my post. It may be a new find for me, one that just helps with the vibe or my mood, and/or inspires me during this post! For this post, I chose “Fly” by Maddie & Tae. “Just keep on reaching though the limb might break, we’ve come this far, don’t you be scared now, 'Cause you can learn to fly on the way down.” I just got back from Nashville yesterday. I love that city! I love that city so much that I’m moving there. I told myself I was going to move there last year, however, if you’re like me, we make plans so far in advanced that when we tell people we are doing that some may laugh (and you’re probably one of them). This I AM doing. I’m making it happen! It’s my dream, and with the help of certain people I was blessed to have enter my life, it is happening! I dream to work in television somehow in Nashville. Whether it is being myself, or someone else (acting) I’m going to do what it takes to make my dream come true. Now after those dramatic statements… Like I mentioned earlier, I visited Nashville this past week, and had the opportunity to live it up as much as I could! I stayed with future roommates Megan and Mary. They showed me the ropes of what it’s like to live on their side of town. We worked out each day, bouncing around different gyms (by using the app Class Pass) we went to some of their favorite restaurants, and did some darn good shopping. The first full day Jody Kelly (Meg's mom) and I were able to volunteer with the nonprofit organization Meg manages- the Nashville Dolphins! Amazing, incredible, heart warming---all understatements to describe what it was like to work with the dolphins that attended the camp that day! It’s an organization that coaches swimming for those with special needs! We watched them swim and perfect their strokes, had an hour of hip hop class, and made lunch together! I learned more about Battleship and the USS Missouri from two very intelligent boys than I ever did in history class, was basically interviewed by a boy who wanted to make sure I was worthy of being his friend, and received hugs tighter than I ever have received before! I honestly can’t wait to volunteer on the reg with them once I’ve moved there! Here are the top 5 places I enjoyed having breakfast meetings, lunch dates, and a drink with a friend! (Luckily we had chef Jody cook us up some very delicious and healthy dinners to save some money) Breakfasts 1.Steadfast Coffee 2.Frothy Monkey Lunch 3.Little Donkey 4.Burger Republic Happy Hour 5.Rolf and Daughters While I was there, I went to the Grand Ole Opry for the first time, and thanks to a very special friend, I got to see a side of it that not everyone gets to see! It was an experience I’ll never forget! Watching the great Vince Gill celebrate his 25th Anniversary at the Opry, perform with Ashley Monroe and Opry membes Bill Anderson and Patty Loveless, serenade with wife Amy Grant, and share tunes and memories alongside his daughter Jennifer was just a beautiful way to remind me why I love country music! As you can tell from my past posts, I love to travel! Everywhere I go I do my best to truly "Live It Up" the best I can! That's why I will try to inspire you to do in every single one of my posts from now on! Because, life is a gift and while we're able to LIVE IT UP! Thanks so much for taking time to read this, friends!! I hope you visit Nashville, soon! Or maybe in December! Then you can say "hi!" to a new local ;) My next post will be about what I got out of the book I just finished called, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers! Best book I've read yet! xoxo Libs :) |

Nice post, Lib. It's amazing what you can make happen when you make your intentions known to everyone. It sort of makes it a binding commitment to see it through. Go get your dreams, Lib.
