Hi friends!
Happy Thursday! How's your week goin? This week has been a bit wild! I'm writing to you from seat 8B on a flight to Orlando, FL! Yes, I am going back to the most magical place on Earth for the weekend and I could not be more excited! I'm going to be finishing a little project that I've been working on for while now. If all goes well I'll be showing it to all of you FIRST on here very very soon! :)
Traveling is one of my passions! If you'd really like to know a little secret about me... My dream is to have my own travel show! I have a very clever title for it too! But you'll find that out once it premiers on TV one day! ;) I mean who doesn't love or want to see the world, and what it has waiting for you to experience?! Every place has so many incredible stories and people to learn about and meet, and I want to learn and meet and do as much as I can while I'm on this beautiful planet! I'm always looking to travel as much as I can to see what clever tips I can pick up -about everything from prices to snacks to packing to things to do- all from experience!
First things first! You have to find your way of transportation! Car, plane, train, boat, bus, subway, helicopter, hot air balloon, bike, zip line, elephant, camel, hmmm anything else?
I'm hoping to travel by means of all these one day! I gave you a few tips for traveling on the road a while back. Since I'm flying this evening I'll give you a few of my key basics to prepare for a flight and some money saving tips that will give you a bit more wiggle room for your destination!
SAFE TRAVELS!!
P.S. Here's the recipe for the cookies I made with my friend Shelby for my flight!
3 very ripe bananas
1 cup of oats
2 Tbsp of peanut butter with honey (If you just have plain PB then add a little honey to your mix)
1 Tbsp of flax seed
sprinkles and sprinkles of cinnamon all over
1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips!
Mix this all together and bake on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper for about 10 min at 350 degrees.
No bake energy balls are exactly like this, but subtract two of the bananas! I'll make them soon and maybe spice up the recipe somehow!
Can't wait to tell y'all all about my Disney weekend!!
xoxo

- FIND A CHEAP FLIGHT: I'm flying Spirit Airlines this evening, the cheapest airline I know. They have their ways in making up for it if you let them, but if you know which boxes to check and not check you will find to be very satisfied with your purchase. Psst! I got my flight round trip for $118. I checked yes for a carry-on for both ways, and buying them early and online saved me $130! So in total I spent $188 to fly to FL and back! Other ways to find a cheap flight is to check out websites like airfarewatchdog.com. If your wanting to get away sign up for their emails. Yes, they may get a little annoying, but they will send you alerts letting you know where you can get the cheapest fare to your desired destination.
- PACKING: Make a list of all the necessities you want to be sure to include. Try your best to plan out what you may be doing, and what you want to wear to all of your activities, and write it all down. Next set it all out! My grandma is a world traveler, and before all of her trips she would lay everything out on her dining room table. Some where with lots of room, and where you can set your luggage by. Then go through your trip from start to finish and look at all the things you'll be using. Look for the bear necessities, then add as you can. The less amount of luggage the cheaper! With Spirit I had a small roller carry-on and personal bag! If I can limit it to that then anyone can!
- SNACKING: All of you know how much of a health nut I am. Well here we go again! It is so easy to just buy snacks at the airport. You're so busy packing, thats something you can take care of there! Well, don't. I mean you can... but why not save a little bit more $ where you can! In my carry on I brought: 2 packs of almonds, 2 protein bars, a pre-sliced apple, and protein cookies I made. (Remember: you have a flight there and back! Don't forget the snacks on the way back!) I get so hungry and bored on flights, and do not want to wait for the cart to come by then pay for a darn pack of trail mix or M&Ms when I could eat what I want when I want! So pack snacks. Also, pack an empty water bottle! I always drink a 33 oz bottle of smart water before then once I get there throw it in my bag then fill it up at a water fountain once I'm passed security!
- PRE-BOARDING: Check-in 24 hours before, and print your boarding pass! This will not only save you tons of time, but possibly money too. Some airlines, like Spirit, will charge you if you have to check-in and print your boarding pass when you get to the airport!
- EXTRA'S: Don't forget to bring things to do on the flight! Some airlines will provide free wifi to watch TV on or allow you to purchase it when you get your ticket (and that's usually cheaper) also a book, journal, prayer book, or music is always clever! Headphones are definitely a must! There a nice way of letting your sweet neighbor beside you that you want to get a little shut eye.
- BEAUTY: If you can get travel size rose water spray I suggest using it to give you a little extra smize! Your face tends to get dull and tired feeling especially after a long flight. Rose water is wonderful for your skin, and smells so nice!
