Unconditional: not limited in any way : complete and absolute.
My mom and sister just left from visiting me in Fort Worth. My mom only got to stay a few days, but my sister spent her whole spring break (the entire week) up here! We got manicures, shopped, watched movies, worked out, practiced yoga stayed up late and had deep convos about life and boys and all that jazz, and it was sooo wonderful and refreshing!! However, she also had to deal with me during my crazy schedule, spend late nights in the journalism lab and watched a hundred episodes of Netflix while I worked on projects, and spent hours by herself when I went to some meetings; bored out of her mind, even though she told me she was totally fine, she was trying to avoid making me feel bad. That’s called unconditional love.
My mom came up Wednesday. The day I was in the journalism lab until 2 a.m. finishing a project. I had class then worked Thursday and Friday night. They helped clean my house, organize stuff, and box things up when I wasn't there. She came all the way here just to see me for a few hours of each day. My sister too, dealt with that, knowing I couldn’t spend the entirety of the precious little time I had with them, and completely understood. Unconditional love.
Lately, I’ve been experiencing some situations that have really shown that I am unconditionally loved by the people that really count. My family, my best friends, and even friends who I haven’t reflected that love back to them in a while still remind me that no matter what they’re there and care about what’s going on in my life! It’s such a reminder of that kind of love in which proves that no matter what you do or the amount of attention you show, I’m going to love you and be there for you through all the good and the bad. True friends and true family show unconditional love.
Showing yourself some unconditional love can be one of the toughest things. I know it is for me. I am totally my worst critic! 100%. And I think we all might be that way. It takes time to accept who you are. We go through our times of being confident and happy, and then we have rough patches where we might feel indifferent or like we’re not good enough. But…let me be the first to remind you that YOU ARE and YOU’RE HUMAN. We mess up, but we wake, up and we have another day to fix it. Recharge. Restart. So LOVE yourself enough to do that! (P.S. so much harder than it sounds because with me… the struggle with that is so real!) Just remember, it's hard to love others in the amount they deserve, and for others to love you in the amount you deserve without loving yourself. So, love YOU and be loved.
And don’t forget, when you may not feel like you’re unconditionally loved by certain people you wish you were, you will ALWAYS, MOST DEFINITELY, FOREVER, ETERNALLY be loved by God. UNCONDITIONALLY.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord". Romans 8:38-39.
This post is a little intense, but I just felt like because I was reminded of it, I should share the love with y’all!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, y'all! Have a fantastic week!

- Reach out to your friends even though you may talk to them like 24/7, the random "Heyyyy! I love you" message never fails to bring a smile, or a “you’re crazy but that’s why I love you too” message
- Even if your family may have their disagreements, love them and support them anyways, because at the end of it, you’re connected to them through Christ and blood baby and that will never change.
- Show yourself some love and “Treat yo self!”
