So I wrote this last Friday. I didn't really want to edit it so here ya go! Enjoy being in the moment... :)
Sitting on this plane, and wanting to write. I think about all the things I've wanted to blog about, and now I can't seem to decide what I wanted this one to be about. As usual, I reflect on my past days and I think to myself...Libby! Seriously, you're kind of crazy! I am! I don't like to stop! I'm everywhere all the time, and I'm totally okay with that! I love to work, I love to relax, I love to travel, and I love to chill. Sometimes you can't do everything, but sometimes you can. Or at least I can! Lately, I've learned to prioritize my life to where I know my limits. I feel that there are times where I have none, but then it catches up to me and then I have very strict ones (basically a fence around my bed that I just can't seem to jump over). But having regular limits is kind of boring sometimes! Tip: Mix your limits up! Pick and choose when to push them, but I advise to push them often! It's fun! ;) So, reflecting on these passed few days: I worked, finished my class days, packed for two trips that are back to back, hung out with friends, and then...
So I first flew to Florida, again. I had to take care of some job duties, resign some stuff, ya know just some casual chores before the summer begins. I caught up with some amazing friends, visited my favorite places, and reminisced on how much I loved my life and job there (I still love my life now but I cannot wait to live it all over again this summer!!) I get to the airport to fly back to Texas, mentally preparing for my busy day and road trip once I got back, I find out our flight is delayed three hours! "Okay... Yea I don't have time for that!" Was the high volumed word vomit I had to the silent group surrounding the flight attendant who made the announcement. Whoops... Three hours!! That changes my whole day tremendously! I have to admit I love airports, so even though this was very inconvenient, I decided to take this time to adventure. I had been in the MCO airport quite often in the past, so I took an hour to go to each terminal and see all the different restaurants and shops they had to offer. I'm not sure if you're suppose to do that but it was quite fun! Also, since it's an international airport-the languages I heard and people I saw were so interesting! I would check in with the the friends I met at my gate periodically to keep up with which gate we would be switching to next (which was many) then decided to just chill with them for a while. The friends I made were from all ages and different places, but I felt like they wanted to know about me and my life story. They actually probably didn't care at first, but I began to test out the waters with every day conversation which ended up us all bonding and laughing so hard we were crying! I think they were more entertained at the fact I was talking to them like they were my best friends, but who cares!
It began with two of us women ease dropping on the guys phone call... commenting in a whisper tone on something he said that made him laugh so hard! So then, when he got off the phone he asked us something and I said "I have a plan to change the world!" They were interested so I told them all about it! I'll tell y'all later! :) haha But they ended up giving me bad situations and testing me on how I would turn them into positive ones, asking me how I would live it up in this really boring or tough situation, and questioning me in other aspects like health. It was so fun! One said, "Alright, Libby, how do you look at this situation in a positive way? We're all three hours late to places we really really needed to be!" Well, my answer was easy. We can't change the fact that we're going to be late. Life is gonna go on! But we just freakin lived it up sitting at this gate for an hour laughing harder than anyone else in this airport. It set us up to land in Texas with a smile on our faces, and know that we can still surprise our spouse, go out with our friends, and make it to College Station somehow some way! It was so fun! We'll probably never see each other again, but we'll remember that hour for ever!
Life is fun, no matter what you do! You just have push your limits, try and do as much as you can, but never forget to make the things you do memorable! Even if you're stuck at an airport three hours longer than you planned....
More posts and videos to come as I embark on my summer adventure series!! Get ready to live it up with me!! :)
