Good morning friends! Today, I am sitting on the back porch of a beautiful cabin with a nice cup of coffee in the mountains of Idaho! Wow, can you say breathtaking?! This view is so unbelievable!
When I told friends I was taking a vacation to Idaho with a few of my close friends, they seemed confused. "Libby, you're going on a vacation to Idaho from Florida?! But you just got here? And Idaho?" is just about the same response I got from everyone!
Well, as you all know that one of my passions in life is to travel, and you can see from my previous posts that I have many opportunities to do so and take every single one of them! This trip is a perfect example of how taking the path to the places less traveled by can be such an adventure!
We decided on a road trip! So, I flew to Dallas from Orlando, Fl on Monday, packed up at my sweet friend Shelby's house, and after a delicious pizza three other friends, her, and I hit the road for a 24 hour drive. Destination: Victor/Driggs, Idaho!
We drove through the panhandle, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Wyoming to get to this precious little town. It's a small town with just the necessities of life and amazing Thai food!!
Once we got here, Shelby and I cooked up a delicious meal and we hung out all night playing some Cards Against Humanity! Yesterday was our first full day, and we made the best of it! Hiking an awesome trail from the cabin, drank delicious huckleberry shakes, and eating some yummy Thai food (first time for me!)
A trip to enjoy the outdoors is such a great way to have an excuse include some physical activity while your on vacation! We were so distracted by the beauty and each other's company that we didn't even realize we had hiked almost 6 miles!
Today is our second full day and I'm so excited to see what God has planned for us today! Our motto for this week is "Our plan is no plan." Finally!! No plan!! I don't remember the last time I said that! We will just roll with the flow, enjoy the outdoors, and go on spontaneous excursions when they sound fun! That's the kind of trips I like! When you don't really know what you'll be doing, and each day is an adventure!
I think more of us should try trips like this, and that's what my dream of "Livin' It Up with Libby" will be all about! Making the best the day the Lord has made for us, and living life to the fullest!
But that'll be for a later post!
I'm working on a vlog/a YouTube channel to talk about where I am, what I'm doing and feeling, and how I'm doing all of it! I love to blog, but sometimes videos are just more fun!! So, stay tuned for that and posts about my week in IDAHO!!
Love you, friends!!!
xoxo Libs :)
