It's February already?! My goodness gracious I can't believe how fast time is flying by!! I'm pretty sure the entire month of January flew by so fast that I completely missed it! As far as my new years resolution is going... let's just say I'm really hoping yours is going better than mine! I was not sure exactly how I was going to manage my time with school and work when it all started back up again. It took a lot more time figuring that out than I had planned. Not to make excuses for myself because I have had free time on my hands to blog, but I got a little lazy and made the best of my free time just keeping it free...to Netflix ;)
However, there are times when we can be mad at ourselves for starting off badly, but the year isn't over. It's still beginning. And you know what? If you get to the next day... it's a new day to a new year!! Who's to say your "year" can't begin, say, tomorrow? No one! Except you! So I'm telling myself that, and if you need to so should you.
Today, celebrating Ash Wednesday, I was praying about my commitments and motivations for my dreams and goals. I thought about my reasoning behind those certain things and one was this blog. I don't write this for attention or popularity. I started this to help others in my position as well as to help myself be accountable for something. Even though I got a little distracted with myself and life, the whole reason I began writing was so that very thing that happened (getting distracted) wouldn't. It did, and now that I've realized that I don't want to happen again. Just like Lenten Season, this blog is a lifestyle change to me, as well as my 5 Personal Achievement Goals! So don't put yourself down now for not keeping up with your goals you set for yourself earlier this year! It's totally okay! Pick yourself up and start again! And if you've been keeping up with them so far... GO YOU!!! <3
I started kickboxing at Title Kickboxing these past few weeks, and I have loved it!! It's an incredible stress reliever and an awesome workout! Have you made any changes to your workout regime lately? Let me know!! Circuits are a great way to mix things up! Make sure to coordinate cardio and strength throughout the circuit to get max benefit from it!! An example would be: 20 High Knees, 10 Pushups, 30 sec plank, 15 Burpees, 20 Squats, and 30 Bicycles! Do that set 5 times through and see how you feel! Try and do 3 different circuits like this to sweat your booty off!!
During the worship service today we sang this song that contained a lyric that I just loved! "You take brokenness aside and make it beautiful." Keep in mind that if you feel stuck, torn, broken that God will take that from you and make it/YOU beautiful! Trust him and give that disappointment or that bump in the road to Him and He will help you turn it into something beautiful and proud!!
I love you, friends!! Thank you for taking the time to read a few lil words from me!! See ya very soon!!
xoxo libs :)
